Exciting day! Dad and I went down to Lunken Airport to visit the folks at Flamingo Air Academy. They were extremely friendly and very excited to have me as a prospective student. We talked in the office for a little while, but were soon outside with the planes poking around. We were able to view one of their training planes, a Beechcraft something, I wish I could remember. I climbed up into the cockpit, and sat in the left seat… and wow, made me a little nervous just being there. The entire time I was sitting in the cockpit I was talking to Sharon, and so I didn’t get to examine the panels too closely, but it looked a whole lot like the Cessna I fly in my Flight Simulator (as one would think). After talking to a few other Flamingo employees, we went back to the office to sign up for a first lesson. This next Tuesday at 7pm, I will be up with the birds… so excited. We’ll have to see how this is going to work out financially. I am hoping all goes as best it can.

I was trying to decide if these posts about my flight lessons would be better suited in a different, specific blog… but the answer was no. This is my blog, and hopefully these flight lessons will soon be taking a very large amount of my time. I’ll commentate/review each lesson/flight up here now only for my readers entertainment, but for my own brain. Things are good, things are very good.
