With the way Facebook arranges pictures in albums, I thought it would be fun to take a single image and break it up into 16 frames, 4x4, and make a collage in a Facebook album. I decided to go with the profile picture album to show it off a little bit. On the most recent (top right) frame of the picture I wrote a little message, “Do you know what this is a picture of? It is a puzzle!” It was quickly figured out, of course, but being a puzzle really wasn’t the main point.
Splitting up the picture by hand was kind of tedious, though. I think I might write a little Facebook app that users can do this to any of their pictures, already on Facebook or uploaded fresh. It will either create a new album or add the pictures to an already created album. I don’t think the whole thing will be all too difficult. Just gotta start…
